Trade is the biggest part of the service sector. The Dutch have trading in their blood. In 1602, they set up the largest trading company in the world, the Dutch East India Company. Today, the Netherlandsí top three trading companies are Ahold, SHV Holdings and Hagemeyer. Trade is also important to manufacturing companies like Unilever, Philips, Akzo Nobel and Shell.
